Whose driving and navigating?

One of the reason’s I don’t like traveling much is I don’t like reading maps and navigating in new places I wonder about busy streets and highways that can take me far off place I want to go. I don’t want to get lost and its stressful trying to look at street signs and drive safely at the same time.

I do enjoy being part of a bus tour or going along while someone else is navigating and driving. I just sit back and watch the scenery. The stress and uncertainty is gone.

This is similar to ishvara pranidhana. We give up the driving and navigating of our lives to God. We surrender to God believing that he knows the best route to take so we have the experiences that will be for our highest and best good. This route may not be easy or rosy or pleasant all the time. It takes strength and courage and patience and belief to surrender each day to God’s will. Let the Divine drive and see what adventures await today.
