Dec 2007

I'm just thinking outloud here. Thinking then writing.
If we are God's spirit children, then we contain a piece of God along with our eternal spark which is entirely our own - not God. Intelligence. That part that cannot be created or destroyed. But I guess we needed God to bring us into a state of consciousness. I believe spirit has consciousness. Does intelligence have consciousness?

And we are progressing thru lifetimes - maybe many millions of spiritual lifetimes as we grow and progress yet still maintaining our agency. So now we are in a very dense, heavy, physical shell of a lifetime. And since we are part of God - connected to Him in spirit, He experiences everything we do.

Next part: In the eternities I have this list. I want to experience foreign countries, the culture, the music, the art, the dance, the food, the people, the language, the religion, all of it. I want to create music and dancing and art and drama and all sorts of crafts. I want to participate in sports and recreation and everything indoors and outdoors and play games and everything.....It cannot all be done in a lifetime, but i want to do it in the eternities. There has to be a way to experience all these things.

Putting the two parts together. What if, since we are all a piece of God and since he can experience everything we do, feel, and experience that we are God's eternal experiences. Its His/Her/Their turn to have all these different and varied experiences. Or maybe because God has already done all of these things, since we are a part of Him, that's how all humans are able to do them.

Get up now
Get up now
Get up out of bed
Wash your face
Brush your teeth
Comb your sleepy head
Here's your clothes
And your shoes
Hear the words I said
Get up now
Get up and make your bed
Are you hot?
Are you cold?
Are you wearing that?
Where's your books and your lunch and your homework at?
Grab your coat and your gloves and your scarf and hat
Don't forget you got to feed the cat
Eat your breakfast
The experts tell us it's the most important meal of all
Take your vitamins so you will grow up one day to be big and tall
Please remember the orthodontist will be seeing you at three today?
Don't forget your piano lesson is this afternoon
o you must play
Don't shovel
Chew slowly
But hurry
The bus is here
Be careful
Come back here
Did you wash behind your ears?
Play outside
Don't play rough
Would you just play fair?
Be polite
Make a friend
Don't forget to share
Work it out
Wait your turn
Never take a dare
Get along
Don't make me come down there
Clean your room
Fold your clothes
Put your stuff away
Make your bed
Do it now
Do we have all day?
Were you born in a barn?
Would you like some hay
Can you even hear a word I say?
Answer the phone
Get Off the phone
Don't sit so close
Turn it down
No texting at the table
No more computer time tonight
Your iPod's my iPod if you don't listen up
Where you going and with whom and what time do you think you're coming home?
Saying thank you, please, excuse me
Makes you welcome everywhere you roam
You'll appreciate my wisdom
Someday when you're older and you're grown
Can't wait 'til you have a couple little children of your own
You'll thank me for the counsel I gave you so willingly
But right now
I thank you NOT to roll your eyes at me
Close your mouth when you chew
Would appreciate
Take a bite
Maybe two
Of the stuff you hate
Use your fork
Do not you burp
Or I'll set you straight
Eat the food I put upon your plate
Get an A, Get the door
Don't get smart with me
Get a Grip
Get in here I'll count to 3
Get a job
Get a life
Get a PhD
Get a dose of...
I don't care who started it
You're grounded until your 36
Get your story straight
And tell the truth for once for heaven's sake
And if all your friends jumped off a cliff
Would you jump too?
f I've said it once, I've said at least a thousand times before that
You're too old to act this way
It must be your father's DNA
Look at me when I am talking
Stand up straight when you walk
A place for everything
And everything must be in place
Stop crying or I'll give you something real to cry about
Oh!
Brush your teeth
Wash your face
Get your PJs on
Get in bed
Get a hug
Say a prayer with Mom
Don't forget
I love you
**KISS**
And tomorrow we will do this all again because a mom's work never ends
You don't need the reason why
Because
Because
Because
Because
I said so
I said so
I said so
I said so
I'm the Mom
The mom
The mom
The mom
The mom

I can't remember who, but a name was given to these 3. Subconscious is memory, conscious is imagination and superconscious is inspiration. I like them except for the conscious mind being imagination. Yes, it is sometimes, but it is also being fully aware of what it - not imagining anything but noticing. So what would be the name for that?

1. Stretch, breath sit.
2. Tell short version of my story and why I am here.
At the time my son was a sr in high school he began having worsening symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, skin rash, night sweats and weight loss. He was skinny to begin with so he didn’t have weight to loose. We spent about 5 months trying different medical treatments both in the alternative medical arena and allopathic treatments. We eventually received a medical diagnosis of Crohn’s disease, which is basically inflammation, ulceration and internal bleeding in the large intestine or colon. He looked like a person wasting away. We did wonder if he would survive the experience alive or not.

The standard allopathic doctor did not give us any support for changing his diet along with prescription medication, but since I had a degree in Food and Nutrition, I knew more about nutrition than the doctor, and knew that food is medicine and it might have an enormous effect on his healing journey. I did countless hours of investigation on the internet and decided we would try a diet that removed all grains and complex carbohydrates. It was a very healthy balanced diet of meat, fish, eggs, cheese, yogurt, vegetables, fruit, & nuts. I took the skills I already had from my education in Food and Nutrition, my skills as a full-time homemaker, and my willingness to sacrifice and do whatever it takes for my son to get better and I learned a whole new way to cook.

3. Ask the class if there are any cooking for Crohns or UC or Autism or Celiac disease. If so, go into more detail with the SCDiet. If not, then go more into general things learned from the health crisis.

What about the story of Nephi in the wilderness. I will post up the verses that could be used here:
And we did travel and wade through much affliction in the wilderness. we had suffered many afflictions and much difficulty, yea, even so much that we cannot write them all, And we did sojourn for the space of many years, yea, even eight years in the wilderness.

And so great were the blessings of the Lord upon us, that while we did live upon raw meat in the wilderness, our women  were strong, yea, even like unto the men; and they began to bear their journeyings without murmurings.  I will make thy food become sweet, that ye cook it not;

And thus we see that the commandments of God must be fulfilled. And if it so be that the children of men keep the commandments of God he doth nourish them, and strengthen them, and provide means whereby they can accomplish the thing which he has commanded them; wherefore, he did provide means for us while we did sojourn in the wilderness.

And we did come to the land which we called Bountiful, because of its much fruit and also wild honey; and all these things were prepared of the Lord that we might not perish.

And it came to pass that we did pitch our tents by the seashore; and notwithstanding we had suffered many afflictions and much difficulty, yea, even so much that we cannot write them all, we were exceedingly rejoiced when we came to the seashore; and we called the place Bountiful, because of its much fruit.

And I will also be your alight in the wilderness; and I will prepare the way before you, if it so be that ye shall keep my commandments; wherefore, inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall be led towards the promised land; and ye shall know that it is by me that ye are led.

Yea, and the Lord said also that: After ye have arrived in the promised land, ye shall know that I, the Lord, am God; and that I, the Lord, did deliver you from destruction;

Any journey that requires a special diet because of a health crises could be called a journey in the wilderness. Its a place we are unfamiliar with and its scary and we don't know how we can make it. This journey required that they did have a significant change in their diet and it was difficult at first and it sounds like the women in particular were complaining and anxious about the change. But they were blessed and led by the Lord. He was their light. So after awhile they saw how it was fine. They were strong, they were alive, they were moving on in the journey.

When that journey to healing is accomplished then there is no doubt that it was because the Lord was leading and in charge.
