Integrative medicine is using the best of both allopathic and alternative medicals systems. Here is info about some of the alternative choices
Rolfing: Blaine. He does rolfing and it is an amazing therapy. Phone is 520-0422. Rolfing is a very deep structure massage. You can have a single appointment or a series that restructures your body to be better aligned. Its not a relaxing process. Its deep and somewhat painful at times, but the results are immediate and long-lasting.
Acupuncture: Dr. Dana Miller 356-6772 I interviewed Debra at Dr Miller’s office. She is from the area and has been a patient of Dr. Miller for more than 10 years. She had received an acupuncture treatment for a painful bone spur in her ankle. She was fearful of the process but realized the fears were unfounded. The process was simple. She remembers feeling some stinging in the ankle area and the feeling of something running out of that area. But it was not painful and the acupuncture relieved the problem. She recommends Dr Miller highly for chiropractic and just regular on-going medical care.
I also want a list of links for emotional healing techniques. All illnesses have emotional roots and if a person wants to get well and stay well, he must do the work of healing emotions. The first three are the methods that Leslie uses and are her favorites. She has not used the other methods, but they might appeal to others.
EFT Leslie owns lots of audio/CD video of this technique that you are welcome to borrow.
Karol Truman. The library also has several of Karol’s books and it is a good place to learn her meditation technique.
JB Cox This is a wonderful ongoing program of changing bad habits of thoughts and uses all the concepts and teachings from the LDS church. Leslie can share the resources from this program and you might love it so much you have to have your own!
Carol Tuttle The Madison Library own her book. Start there.
